Formed in 1991 by two brothers, Rich and Phil Strobel, The Strobel Group, Inc. is a sharply focused Wisconsin-based merger and acquisition consulting firm serving clients who are manufacturing and/or distributing within the specialty chemical industries. Segments we actively participate within on behalf of buyers and sellers include paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, water treatment chemicals, jan-san products, additives, and the chemical distribution segment.
Over the past thirty-one years, we have had the responsibility of managing over 100 projects. We work with owners, chief executives, and other senior officers whose time is fully committed to their existing responsibilities. With client oversight, our team is engaged to take the lead in accomplishing the client-directed acquisition or divestiture goal.
We have enjoyed working on projects involving contact with most of the leading regional, national, and international firms including Akzo (Netherlands), ALTANA (Germany), Ashland, BASF (Germany), Benjamin Moore, Bostik (Arkema), Carlisle, Chogoku (Japan), Cloverdale (Canada), Diamond-Vogel, FinishMaster, Forbo (Switzerland), Franklin International, H.B. Fuller, Hempel (Denmark), Henkel (Germany), Hydrite, ITW, Jotun (Norway), Kelly-Moore, Lord (Parker Hannifin), PPG, Protech (Canada), Quaker Chemical, RPM, Sherwin-Williams, SIKA (Switzerland), 3M, and Wattyl (Australia). In addition to the foregoing strategic industry participants, project work has also resulted in establishing contacts with many private equity groups holding and/or pursuing chemical industry interests.
